This is an exciting news and something that I believe would be of interest to many of Symbian users. There has been a lot of buzz recently about Augmented Reality Apps. What is AR you ask? According to Wikipedia “AR is a term describing a live video stream of a real-world environment whose elements are supplemented with-, or augmented by Computer-generated imagery.
“. There are currently several AR apps available in different platforms with Layar
Reality Browser for Android being the most popular out there.
And now it appears that Sequence Point Software from Spain have developed a Free AR app “ARound” for some of the S60 3rd and 5th edition phones. According to their website the application needs certain sensory in order to work so not all Symbian devices are supported. We don’t know much about the app and its capabilities but it available for download from their website so head on over and lets us know what you think.
