Nokia announces 6600i slide

Nokia just announced the 6600i slide phone. The phone is pretty much just an update to 6600 with 3G, 5 megapixel camera, and metal and slimmer shell. It’s also worth to note that the phone runs Series 40 and will support OVI apps and store at the time of the launch.

More specs:

  • Quad-band GSM/EDGE and Dual-band WCDMA (850/2100MHz)
  • 5 megapixels with autofocus and  dual LED flash
  • 20MB internal memory and comes with 1GB microSD – Supports up to 16GB
  • Bluetooth 2.0,  microUS
  • FM Radio
  • Available in Q3 in white & black- ~ $250 USD

  • Very nice phone! Where is the best place to purchase one of these phones?
  • Once the phone has been released, I am sure you can purchase it directly from Nokia or 3rd party dealers (i.e Amazon, ImportGSM, etc).
  • Launch date is not confirmed yet except that it will be sometime in the 3rd quarter. I am not sure if it will be available on Tmobile USA but it also wouldn't surprise me.
