Ovi Store Now Shows “Not Available for Your Device” Error Messages

One of the complaints we had with Ovi Store till now was with the error messages it used. The error messages it used made absolutely no sense & gave the user no description of what the error or problem exactly was.

Thankfully, the Ovi Store team has tweaked the error messages and made them actually meaningful now. Previously, if you opened a link for an item which wasn’t available for your phone, the store would give you an error message that said “This item is no longer available.” Now, when you open the link for an item which is not available for your phone, the error message clearly says that “this item is not available for your device : [ Model Number].”

I just bought a Nokia x3, and the first time I tried using it, the ovi store was available but know when I try connecting to the ovi store it says" link not available, what does that mean?
  • I guess most probably it would have been a network / server issue. Try again, does it still say link not available?

STUPID PIECE OF SHIT keeps tellin me the old message eventhough it says my phone can use ovi but when i type in the link it says device not compatible

Why Ovi always say Ovi is not available for your device with the Nokia devices such as E51 and N95. Please respond immediately
  • Does it say that the particular app is not available for your phone? Because
Ovi Store is compatible and supported on both of these phones.

For the E51, for any visit to store.ovi.com, and if go directly to an app's page and click to download it (for apps that, when visiting in a pc web browser, say are available for the e51), redirects to the error screen saying "We're sorry. Ovi Store is currently not available for your device. Please check back as new Nokia devices are being added frequently". This did seem to coincide with an auto-updating of the Download/OviStore application on the phone; and this is for firmware v100 and v410. The current workaround is going to app publisher's websites directly.

Is OVI available fro Nokia 6210 navigator? If not - OVI should not accept my application .
have not not been able to get a single application for OVI -
  • parvizb
If the application is not available for my device, why does it show up in the list.
I have not been able to get a single product from OVI. Always the same message
