All the N series (probably the other S60v3 phones too) have an option to capture 6 shots in sequence without having to press the camera key 6 times.

Today, when I opened the Sequence mode for the first time on my N86, I noticed a flurry of choices. On taking a look at what they did, I realised that Nokia has added the support for Time Lapse Photography on the N86!

Basically, what you have are options to set the camera to capture a shot after every few seconds or minutes. Once set, the camera will keep on capturing an image till the memory runs out! As the N86 has 8GB of mass memory, that means a lot of pictures! You can choose anything from 10 seconds to 30 minutes as the interval between each shot.

I have got to say, Nokia have gone all guns blazing to offer a first class Camera experience with the N86. I showed you a sample of quality of photos shot in Macro Mode on the N86. A few days back, we brought you news about the new N86 firmware v20 update which packed in quite a few camera improvements according to the release notes. To check the “Improved Close-up Focus”, I went ahead and shot a few close up mode photos. The results are more than decent to say the least. I, personally, was stunned by the clarity of the shots & the crisp close ups.

Microsoft OneApp is a new software application that enables feature phones—commonly found in emerging markets—to access mobile apps like Facebook, Twitter, Windows Live Messenger, and other popular apps and games. Now, people around the world who own feature phones will be able to do more and enjoy a better mobile experience with their existing phones.

According to Microsoft, OneApp will be offered initially through partners in emerging markets worldwide. When it was announced, it was available only in South Africa via Blue Label Telecoms. But it is now available for download for everybody from any country.

The facebook app of OneApp. It is surprisingly pretty good. Even lets you capture, upload & view your photos.

Twitter

Tweetlite – OneApp’s Twitter client. A simply client, with a timeline, friends & inbox view. Lets you reply, retweet, forward a tweet as a SMS & open links from the tweet.

Reader

Stay informed. Access the latest sport, fashion, entertainment and news.

Snake

The classic snake game. Something which the new Nokia’s don’t come with.

There were a lot of other apps like mobiWallet, Downloads, miLocate, But they require you to verify your number by sending a SMS. Although I tried it, Mibli was not able to send the SMS.

Services :

The first feature that strikes you is the number of services supported by Nimbuzz. It supports an impressive number of 15 communities for IM including the major ones like Windows Live, Yahoo, Facebook, Google Talk, AIM, MySpace, ICQ. Along with the communities, It also supports VoIP with over 14 SIP accounts, as well as an option to configure a custom SIP account.

Chat :

Once your accounts are configured, you reach the contact list. The contact list in Nimbuzz is a single list showing your contacts from all the configured services alphabetically. Which means you no longer have you switch between services / apps to check on which service a friend of yours has come online. All your contacts, irrespective of the service, show up in a single list. Perfect.

Chat Window :

The interface of the chat window is what really pulled me towards Nimbuzz. The UI is clean and simple. The color combination makes it easy to differentiate the messages sent by you and the messages received by you. Emoticons are also supported, although I did not find them to be really pretty or cute.

Internet Calling :

Nimbuzz supports SIP protocal for VoIP calls. Though what would excite most users would be the fact that it supports making calls using SkypeOut too. Users can choose which call provider should Nimbuzz use when placing calls to the contacts in the phone book or any other number.

Extras :

Along with sending & receiving messages, Nimbuzz also supports sharing files & photos. You can either send already clicked photos, or take a new photo to send to your friend.

Another feature in Nimbuzz lets you backup your entire phone book on their servers, so in case you loose your phone ( Hope that you don’t ) or happen to loose your contacts due to some problem, you can restore them all from Nimbuzz easily.
